Ferrari F430 Accident - Pretty Car, Pretty Flame...

|
Paraphrasing the title of the 1996 Serbian film “Pretty Village, Pretty Flame”, the burning Ferrari F430 pictured above sure gave a spectacular show to by passers on the South Luzon Expressway that connects Metro Manila with the provinces of the Calabarzon region in the Philippines. Anyone got any idea how this accident happened? -More images after the jump

It looks like the Engine caught on Fire and the guy had to pull over. Poor Ferrari.

Look like a poor maintenance check to me before taking out on the road.

Maybe low inter cooling to keep the engine from getting too hot, burning up everything in it.

It seems its not uncommon for Ferrari cars to end up in a flaming heap of rubble. Just give google a search to see other examples of flaming hot ferrari cars.

Not to mention a recall for the F430 to replace certain hydraulic hoses which could melt in the hot engine bay.

The car came to realize that it is a Ferrari and decided to kill its self...

Anonymous said... »July 25, 2007

Might be that the tropical weather is too hot the F430...

Well, at least he still has half of his Ferrari. But hmm...this site reminds me that I should probably update my blog's layout.

Mike said... »July 25, 2007

I think the real question should be, what was an F430 doing in Luzon?

Anonymous said... »July 26, 2007

this is not considered as "total lost".....well he still got half of the car left...

Anonymous said... »July 26, 2007

is this the car of willie tee ten??

Anonymous said... »July 26, 2007

I wonder if Ferrari's warranty program covers things like this?

sasha said... »July 26, 2007

To answer Mike's question, there's a Ferrari and Maserati dealership in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. There are actually quite a few Ferrari's floating around Metro Manila.

Anonymous said... »July 26, 2007

Sasha: Really!? I am a little overwhelmed, I know there's a Mercedes Dealership in Manila, and that's top of the line! Well I guess the Ferrari & Maserati dealership is catered towards the upper, upper class of Philippines because those cars are not cheap!

12,401,988.51 PHP or €200,000

That's a 50 room mansion on the hills in the countryside.

This crap happens all the time to Ferraris. I've read so many times of these stupid things catching fire like that, burning at an extremely high temperature and melting even the guard rails if they get too close. These cars are trash. Buy a Lambo or save yourself and buy a Z06 if you want a true car that won't just burn like that. Don't buy a trash Ferrari.

what a damn shame.they have beautiful engine compartments.not to mention a great motor.

Hunka hunka burning love

Anonymous said... »July 27, 2007

Tom has no idea what he is talking about.

As beautiful as Lamborghinis are, they are overpriced and they underperform compared to their Ferrari counterparts. When you buy a Lamborghini, you're buying a name, an exotic exterior, and a top speed you will never reach off the track. When you buy a Ferrari, you get the total package.

Well if you can afford a car like this, I'm sure you've probably got enough to have it repaired.

Ferrari owners don't save all their money and spend it all on a car, it's usually disposable income.

buti nga sa coño. kasi iparada mo na lang yan sa garahe o kaya't ipang-grocery mo na lang sa loob ng exclusive subdivision mo.

Dandi said... »July 31, 2007

To answer fergie: Actually Yes! there is a dealership of ferrari in ortigas. even those other expensive sports car from europe.
and there is also dealer of used cars including sports cars from japan,USA and europe.
for me I thing it happen to him to blow he's ferrari into a pretty flame cuz of pipe leakage and leak in it's gas tank and octane tank.

A big part of Asia has seen an economic boom in the past 10 years despite of what you read in the news everyday. Ferraris, Maseratis, Bentleys and Lamborghinis are no longer uncommon sightings. The owner of this Ferrari F430 was driving with a bunch of other expensive cars, namely M6, M5 and Cayennes, when it caught fire.

So anyone who has not been to the Philippines, I invite you to our country. It's not a jungle. And I guarantee you will have a grand time. Cheers!

I would surely have a good look at Ferrari's warranty program before buying this car.

Anonymous said... »August 30, 2008

Yeah, good one Tom. Do yourself a favor, though...Get yourself out of the trailer park and read up on Ferrari's history, reputation and engineering standards. It may be a challenge for you to get out of bed with your sister, but give it a shot. You may learn something.

guys, that time is summer and it was hot, causing the ferrari overheat the engine, since ferrari had a cooling system and it was built just to maintain the engine and not on that kind of summer, the driver is hot so he turn the aircon on and HI-cool, then if you can see, the overheat meter will go down, indicating it will burn or overheat and smoke, since the ferrari didnt take the heat on philippines..
