Dodge Breeze: Chinese Built Minicar Scooped

|

While Plymouth might be resting in peace, one of its nametags, the “Breeze” will make a reappearance in a Chrysler Group product, and more specifically, in Dodge’s forthcoming Chinese built minicar. This scoop picture appeared on a Chinese internet forum today and it seems to confirm the rumors supporting that Dodge minicar will be a re-badged version of the recently introduced, Chery A1.

We remind you that the Chrysler Group signed an agreement with Chery Automobile Co. last July to jointly develop, produce, and distribute small cars under the Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge brands for North America, Europe and other markets. -Follow the jump for more pictures of the Chery A1

Dodge better appeal to the sport tuning market if they want this thing to succeed. They should produce the hornet instead at least that car has a chance of getting people excited with a B segment "american" car.

EWWWWWW!!!! the Chery is already a knock off the Daewoo/Chevy Spark. how could they, these guys at chrysler need a cerebrum transplant,
and even put a dodge badge? next thing you know it's got a 3 pot hemi with enough power as a vacuum cleaner, or wait a washing machine.
and the name is funny, in a cycloon you'd propably hve to grab the new baby dodge by the horns so it wont fly off....

I`m sceptic about the quality of this one. But people who own IT say that it a good car fully equipped. Yesterday i had a test drive and have good emotions, but i`m too scary to buy it `cause ther`s no crash tests yet. I live in Russia and the price is about 9000 US Dollars.
