2010 Nissan Patrol Scooped During Presentation

|
A bevy of images featuring the production version of the new Nissan Patrol have made their way into the internet. From what we can tell, the pictures seem to have been shot during an official presentation of the vehicle. The new Patrol will be Nissan's largest 4X4 model competing head on with the Toyota Land Cruiser. The vehicle's exterior styling has been thoroughly refined adopting several design cues from the Nissan Terranaut Concept that was revealed at the 2006 Geneva Show.

Technical information for the time being is scarce but it is expected that the 2010 Patrol will retain the no-nonsense off-roader character of the current generation model. As for the engine line-up, your guess is as good as ours but logically, it will comprise of V6 and V8 petrol units as well as a V6 turbo diesel.

Their shot at the Pilot.

these pictures are causing a PR storm in the Middle East, there's a big issue with whoever leaked them.

It does look like the present Landcruiser. But then again, the Landcruiser isn't the most original work out there. This will be the next Infiniti QX56 I suspect. Much better, it looks like a premium model now.

Nissan, don't even bother bringing it to the United States unless it has solid axles and locking differentials front and rear. We already have too many faux-by-fours and hardly any "true" 4x4's. The Land Cruiser, Land Rover, and Range Rover have all gone soft - please give us a Patrol with off-road performance that lives up to its legendary name.

IT S LOOK LIKE LAND CRUESER BUT BETTER THAN İT BECAUSE USE THE LED STOPS AND SOME CUBE STİLL AND MOST İMPORTANT İTS MADE VERY SOLİD MATERİAL

It looks very well from the front but from that rear three quarter view it looks too soft and cuddly. Nobody wants a gay SUV.

surely looks like the current cruiser 2008, but i guess it has more sophisticated design, probably better than the cruiser, big up Nissan....!!

the front is ok the back is not

Sadly, this is just one more nail in the 'authentic-4x4' coffin, plus they all look the same those new suv's, large or small. Not to my taste!

Looks great interior and from exterior, but I hope they will change the rear lights cuz they look feminism oriented !

Anyone has solid info on when will these monsters come to the Middle-East? And what will be the Top HP of the engine?

I can't wait until the Pathfinder/Patrol share the same platform. I always liked the Patrol and I hope that when it debuts that there will be lots of engine options, like a diesel, a high output V6 and a appropriate V8 offering. If Nissan keeps this up in their next model changes and fix their styling on their Altima lineup then I will gladly be back as a Nissan/Infiniti enthusiasts!

If this Patrol Stand To its Legendary Name as an Off-Roader I'll buy one ,and these cars shoudln't look good their Phat Off-Roaders its the way it looked and it should look. For the Fourth Anonymous your wrong the the Patrol is way older than the Armada and as i have been saying its Off-Roader.

Nice enough, based on the photos, but I can picture dozens of door dings down both sides.

Looks like a cross between a Landcruiser 200 and with the side vents on the guard a Range rover... Next thing we'll know is that it will have an "A" frame rear end and independant front suspension... I just hope this is all a bad dream...

It looks like the shitty SUV´s on the market, way far from a true off-roader, and, if they put some shitty independent suspension instead of live axle, another brand off the off-raoders list...what a shame...sorry Nissan, you fucked up.

i won't pay it and also my friends don't like it. Moreover the people here in my contray talking about it in a bad way.I don't think it will be sail more in the middle east. However, you did good job in the vtc nissan patrol shape and offroad but this one i think its very havey in the sand so if you just still with the vtc will be better sorry for the bad english. But it looks ok for family and i think they will like it but belive me it won't be sold like the vtc. Ahmad from the uae

does anyone know if it has solid axels if not back to the drawing board

Anonymous said... »January 19, 2010

solid axles are the one thing about this vehicle that will determine sales.

Being a suitable family car is a clogged market, the patrol survived as long as it did because it was a tough offroad weapon, no long if no solid axles - Nissan can kiss its ass goodbye on this one if so.

Anonymous said... »January 30, 2010

I think i will love it

Anonymous said... »February 11, 2010

when will it be available in the Philippine market? I hope its coming soon so as to compete with Toyota Land Cruiser.

Anonymous said... »March 29, 2010

Definately solid axles. Front and rear lockers will be a plus. Nice interior, good looks from the front, but the rear spoils it all. Come on Nissan what happened with the handy split rear doors? Now that was part of the Patrol legacy....Oh yes and a manual transmission with that V8 please. Right hand drive for South African market please. Now that's my wish list.

It doesn't look like a land cruiser, it looks like a patrol, stop comparing it to other carss, if it was a copy, then it would have no chance of selling so they wouldn't have released it. It may have taken features from other vehicles but it is totally unique.

i really love the vehicle....can we get one on the kenyan safari terrain. Billy 0720333636
