Volvo V70 RWD V8 Pickup Truck Renderings

|
In the imaginary land of photoshop and its ilk, everything is possible - even a V8 powered, rear-wheel drive pickup truck version of Volvo's V70 estate in the likes of the Holden Commodore Ute / Pontiac G8 ST. These computer generated images (CGIs for short) were sent to Carscoop by an 'old' acquaintance of ours, Bo Zolland from Sweden who has created many CGIs in the past including the Corvette Stingray- and Audi R8-themed speed boats. Follow the jump to check out the rest of the gallery or click here to get a taste of a real-life Volvo XC70 pickup truck that was spotted right outside the Swedish-firm's museum in Gothenburg.

I have already witnessed an early '80s station wagon converted to pickup specs (in Ocean County, NJ)... White with grey bed interior and not bad actually.

...And the G8 ST makes no sense?

Looks great, much better than the real one that they spotted.

Wow, could Volvo build a car people actually like and want? What a concept!

I'd definitely drive this because there's enough room to put a sport bike in the back. Just include a Ducati with the launch ramp, and I'm in all the way

The G8 ST or Holden Commodore ute here in Australia is one of the best selling work vehicles here - it has a myriad of uses and is used by many trade workers as a work / recreational car.. Utes are very much common place here in AU, as they are truly practical functional vehicles... However, a Volvo Ute? mmmmmm not sure...

That is cool. Next thing you know we'll have Volvo coming out with a remake of the Subaru Brat.
