Russian Designer Creates Supercar Fusing Lamborghini Reventon and Pagani Zonda Cues

|
Or at least those are the first two cars that popped into mind upon seeing Russian designer Krasnov Igor's latest creation, the Marussia supercar. More specifically, we see the front end design and hard lines of the Lamborghini Reventon fused into a shape that closely resembles that of the Pagani Zonda topped with futuristic styling elements like the dramatic rear end with the massive but weirdly enough, eye-catching jet-inspired 'afterburners' that house the tail lights. Follow the jump to check out the full image gallery and tell us what you think about Krasnov's concept supercar.

Not bad, until you get to the Batmobile ass-end.

Nothing really super. Back exhausts + lights kinda cool.

Russians better get together the crap they are making, rather than drawing futuristic cars. They introduced an air bag just couple years ago! ABS? Heck no! Navigation? What's that! :))

Hey, this car has two ass holes!

Anonymous said... »June 11, 2009

All it so, but our tanks and nuclear missiles the best;))))

that's more ME412 than Zonda

@kopetdag

Who really needs 20 airbags in a car anyway. It only adds unnecessary weight to the car, and all those other safety stuff, you don't really need it and I don't really want it to be honest, a car must stay pure to some level.

Cool! We're finally getting the rocket propelled flying cars we were promised by Popular Mechanics fifty years ago!

Not bad, He took the fighter jet inspiration-thing a little to literally when it comes to the rear end though. The rocker graphic seems a 'lil rookie too.

I gotta hand it to you carscoop, this is probably one of the better student/amateur concepts that you've posted so far.

I would probably love it if they made the afterburner tail lights much smaller.

kopetdag said... »June 11, 2009

@Alekso

I'd like to hear you say that after an accident in a Russian made vehicle. God forbid you ever will be...but hey, it's a shortcut to get to the other world and, depending on your sins, maybe start a new life!

Cheers.

i can see what you say about the zonda reference, but the front end looks more like reventon meets ferrari f430 too me, and the ferrari is no looker at all. saying that the kid has done a good job, and the tails lights will look good when lit, no doubt.

Anonymous said... »June 12, 2009

oh and the back end looks ford gt.....circa 1960s.

Anonymous said... »June 14, 2009

This car sucks ass! looks like batman said, to hell with this one and gave it to these guys to show of as a reject!

Anonymous said... »June 15, 2009

the back end sucks, however it is styled much better than the first marussia, which looks as if the designer was a crippled kid with no idea of proportion

Anonymous said... »June 15, 2009

It looks alright. Could even live with the back end if it performs well. But the name really belongs in a 50's propaganda commercial to celebrate a bumper potato harvest.

Anonymous said... »June 19, 2009

I hope it's better than a Lada Niva!

Anonymous said... »June 20, 2009

Hmmm...the jet fighter-as-inspiration thing has never really been done well in a car but for some reason people keep trying.

The garish, over-the-top fins and tail-lights of American cars in the '50's came from "jetspiration." Ditto for the new Caddies wedge-shaped look (its a Stealth fighter!). Now the Russians are going to try it with outrageous "afterburner" tail-lights? What no fins?

If someone wants to design a supercar coach inspired by a jet-fighter, try to get a jet-fighter's C/D in a windtunnel. The gimmicks suck though.

i don't know what everyone's complaining about i think the tail looks badass

Anonymous said... »June 25, 2009

Hum.

It looks great and you guys are retards. This rivals Youtube's commentary.

This car is freaking crazy but the back end suck. I wonder how powerful it would be?
