As we speak, Volkswagen is competing in the 2010 Dakar Rally across South America with the purpose-built Race Touareg and to honor the event, Hofele Design announced the launch of a special package for the road-going VW Touareg SUV. Named "Dakar 20.10", the package consists of a body kit with a new blacked out grille, and stainless steel underbody protection and side steps.
Also part of the German tuner's kit are a set of 20-inch "Prado" alloy wheels in silver with a stainless steel lip that are wrapped in tires size 265/40 20. Hofele Design did not announce pricing for the limited edition package.

not liking it. it was no character. a good adaptation of any vehicle should not "disguise" what it is.
That actually looks kind of hot. It could lose the chrome, but I like the updated look.
It looks crap - whats "Dakar" about it? There again, I'm not their target audience - read I'm not a T**T
it looks good, but it does nothing for vw. it looks an improvement to another brand's vehicle. i like the std. vw suv better.
like as if it can even go off road with those rims
