A triangular road sign that reads "Attenzione Prostitute and shows a silhouette of a busty woman in a mini dress and high-heels holding a bag is confusing motorists in the city of Treviso in northern Italy.
The Daily Telegraph reported that many local drivers have complained that they.. don't know what the sign means.
"I was driving in to work and saw this sign and had to slow down to get a proper look," says 34-year-old local resident, Dino Vezino.
"I couldn't believe it - the woman has a mini-skirt and high heels on and very big breasts. I just couldn't work out what it was for? Does it mean I have to look out for prostitutes crossing or that they are available around here?"

Funny, but being a triangular sign I think it means beware of (busty) prostitutes very near the road at night - safety hazard.

Is this an April fool's day joke? Maybe this sign is for the ruthless truck driver to slow down and not run over them?
I'm italian. This is a true signal placed in Treviso (north Italy), but the Daily Telegraph didn't mention that this sign exist since two years! And the words of "Dino Venzino" are probably a fake, cause it's not possible that someone who lives near that road didn't see yet the sign after two years.
Many italian website are laughing, cause the Telegraph is talking about this sign as a "Breaking news" even if it's really old. ^^
About the meaning, I really don't know. I admit that sometimes we Italians have really strange ideas (but we're not the only ones ^^ ).
That's got to be a joke. Though have to admit I laughed about the DC comment. The way we know it's not DC is because there are no Congressman on the sign with her.
No...no, I believe it's a Hooker Crossing. Motorists beware! :)
Might be a prank (photoshop). From where I come from we have traffic signs that say "U-turn Slot", which I am tempted to change into "U-turn Slut",meaning there are sluts in the u-turn area. It keeps me snickering when I think of it.
