The Met-R BMW X6 Interceptor is Alive

|

A little while back we showed you some renderings of Met-R's BMW X6-based Interceptor. Now the kit is alive and kicking, having braved the transition from computer screen to garage. A Mr. Gomelchuk has been kind enough to throw us a bone and drop some live images, showing the Interceptor wearing a more tii-themed paint scheme.

Personally, I'd love to see it in black and wearing those rims from the original concept. You know, make it a hard-riding, street-combing monster. If you're in Russia (or intend on shipping the kit from Russia), the kit will run you 297,000 Rubles. That's just around $9,900 US. Just another kit, or something that truly stands out? Voice and vent in the comments below.

X6 - Ugly?? Well I suppose you guys better buy a red Smart car and a purse to match. The X6 is a testosterone filled, incredibly well engineered, polarizingly well designed vehicle to cater to those who want power, handling and unique styling. The target buyers are the ones that tend to vomit every time they see a beige Camry. This kit is childish and Asian tuner looking but the X6 itself is very cool.

Look, just because you're easily influenced by pop music (re: a BEP music video) to the point that you can't even make a value statement on aesthetics, doesn't mean you're correct.

The X6 does nothing that the X5 couldn't already do; even the M versions.

You haven't a leg to stand on anymore.

"You haven't a leg to stand on anymore."

I never had a leg in the first place...

You can borrow one of mine, I got three.

I stole one of my legs from a cripple!

How about look more interesting than a standard 2-box design with a stylish roof line and lower coefficient of drag? Then again as a beige Camry driver with plebeian taste, those things probably do not matter to you.

Thats why Japanese cars are the best! They are YOUR CARS!

"How about look more interesting than a standard 2-box design with a stylish roof line and lower coefficient of drag?"'

Gotcha! You really DON'T have a leg to stand on when the only thing you have left is the ever subjective 'looks' argument. The X5 has beaten you; you know it, I know it.

But when the only thing you bring to the table is looks, I can always go one step further and inevitablydraw the connection between the X6 and the one car X6 owners think they aren't emulating.

The Aztek

It too was advertised those "qualities" at launch and it's drivers also advanced such points on aerodynamic drag as well.

Heck, just like how BMW calls the X6 and SAV in a desperate attempt to save face in the public glare the demanded justification for their latelest garbage, Pontiac too tried to deflect criticism and called the Aztek "Sports Recreational Vehicle" in their product literature.

It's uncanny how similar they both are.

And yet the only argument you can even try to cobble together has even less stability than the Somali government.

Are you done? Would you like another?

"Gotcha! You really DON'T have a leg to stand on"

Like I said earlier, I never had a leg in the first place. My lack of car knowledge is mainly down to the fact of not having any legs, making it very difficult to get into cars, let alone drive one.

I like it, but then again I like X6s and its brutish look in general. Reminds me of the Touareg "Repo Truck" in Repo men.
