We have already seen and reported on the brand-new 2012 BMW 1-Series, which was revealed a couple of months ahead of its world premiere, which is scheduled for the rapidly approaching Frankfurt Motor Show this September.
Nevertheless, if the first batch of photos didn’t do the trick for you, you’ll be happy to know that today, BMW released a massive gallery with some 250 pictures of its compact sized hatchback, which may very well be the last version to feature a rear-wheel drive layout as the Bavarians are rumored to be planning a switch to a front-wheel drive platform for the next generation model.
But enough with the talking. Hop over the jump to check out all the high-res gallery.

Just as awkwardly ugly as the old one, no matter how many photos BMW post. Still, the fake-tan and hair-extension girly brigade who buy this rubbish won't care "'cos it's a BMW innit"...
I am sorry but this car is just awful looking. Compared to this the CT200h and even the VW Golf looks hella better.
Ugly? Hideous? Utter crap? Piece of sh%t? Maybe!
But why is everyone so disgusted with the car's looks when it is much better looking than the previous generation? (of course everything is relative)
But let's be honest here, I didn't hear so much complaining when the previous generation came out. I agree that this is one ugly looking car, but let us just take a deep breath and relax.
Omg Stevie Wonder styled this car, this is just awful looking. It looks like they designed it entirely in CGI and never bothered to model it to see how it looked, kind of like hitting print all without checking your settings to see if you've got it right!
Those headlights are a joke and the front end is a mess. Bangle was much better than this.
The one with white wing mirrors and chrome grill reminds me of Mickey Mouse!
The back looks like a VW Polo and the front looks like a dumb pig
The existing one isn't a beauty but I admire it because at least it's different which in this day and age when so many cars look alike has to be a good thing (sort of). The new one looks okay but is far more generic which isn't so good. That said if they have addressed the dynamic short comings of the current car it will at least be great to drive. Phoned my dealer today but the can't tell me when I can order an M Sport In the UK although they are taking orders for all the other models for October delivery.
