David Dopp earned his fifteen minutes of fame (or is that shame?) after he trashed a $380,000 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, only six-hours after he received the keys to the Italian supercar that he had won in a Maverik “Joe Schmo to Lambo” contest.

The story has been making headlines all over the world this week, and now we have some video footage of the aftermath from KSL and CNN.

Speaking to Utah’s KSL, Dopp gave his side of the story about what happened on the Saturday he crashed the car.

“We were coming up a hill, going around a corner; and as soon as we came up the hill, we either hit some black ice or loose gravel or something, and all of a sudden we just started spinning,” Dopp told KSL’s reporters. “We ended up in a field, and I back-ended a couple of fence posts.”

As you can see in the videos below, the crash resulted in front and rear end damage, plenty of scratches and a punctured tire. David’s wife, Annette, also talked to the station.

“My heart pretty much fell out,” said Annette. “They said they were OK, then (came), you know, that feeling when your heart drops and you’re like, ‘Oh, my gosh. What do we do now?'”

The answer to that question came from David who said the Lamborghini was covered and would be taken to a Las Vegas body shop to be fixed.

The Utah resident said that he plans to sell the Murcielago Roadster.
