Last night, Porsche lifted the covers off its all-new Boxster that will make its official world premiere at the upcoming 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The two-seater roadster model will arrive in European dealerships in early April with a starting price of €48,291 (US$61,500) in Germany, followed by the U.S. later this summer with prices beginning from US$49,500 (€38,900).
The skinny on the third generation of the Boxster is that it's longer and wider, but at the same time lighter than the outgoing model, thanks to the new aluminum body and revised chassis, while it launches with a new 265HP 2.7-liter flat-six for the base model and a tweaked 3.4-liter unit with 315HP for the Boxster S.
A cleaner look with styling cues borrowed from the 918 Spyder Concept and an upgraded interior with more space and a more mature design, along with a fully automatic cloth top complete the highlights.
If you scroll down a click or two, you'll find a new gallery with 80 photos and two videos of the 2013 Boxster and Boxster S. Once you're done, you may also want to head over to Porsche's dedicated website and play around with the 2013 Boxster's configurator.

Is Porsche serious? Porsche actually builds a car that is very pleasant to the eyes. I wonder if the hard top Cayman version has the same headlamp design ?
i love it...well done
Great headlight design!
I've never liked the Boxster... but this is beautiful. I'd definitely buy one. Pricing should be reasonable as well...
Looks like a modern MR-S (MR2 Spyder).
Finally, a Porsche that looks good to me. I might just want one of these.
I had to quit looking, I was developing a lust I couldn't afford.
The Boxster is probably the most civilized high performance sports car ever.
I will take the classic German, color combo of Silver and Red.
At the 1080i stream I can see the textured aluminum weave of the chrono. I NEVER comment, but man, amazing.
Alex, I'm in disagreement on headlights. Enclosure is elegant and familiar, but what is worth the vertical light? Stare at it for a bit.
They can actually design something at Porsche!!! Who knew.
The best ever Boxter !!!
Very well executed design, bravo PORSCHE
Looks like a 18 y/o coked up wannabe manga "artist" did this thing, And his grandma drove a 66 Catalina with of those headlights.
A Porsh (sic) for the Kardashian generation.
It's a Porsche time.
Toyota called; they want their headlight back...
How is this new when its the same car.
Looks like a baby Carrera GT. Im sure those that dropped a million on a GT are pleased with this.
the spoiler/tail light integration is brilliant!
That's what I was thinking...ouch.
