Watch Roadside Assistance Pull a Honda Civic from the Top of a Cadillac CTS

|

We just got our hands on fresh footage from the January 5 accident in Wellesley, Massachusetts, when a 51-year old driver of a Honda Civic sedan slammed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake and hit a curb that sent his car a flying into a garage and on top of a fairly new Cadillac CTS.

Fortunately, no one was hurt from the accident, though both cars were significantly damaged.

The newly released video, which you can watch after the jump, shows the roadside assistance trucks as they were trying to extract the Honda from the parking lot the same way it entered the building.

Should've hired a German crew. They would have jacked the of the front end of the Civic up enough to drive out the CTS. This crew is a bunch of idiots with no comprehension of the solution. They are looking for results at the lowest common denominator. So American....embarrassing.

You know, you can be an even bigger bigot and just say "just get a black guy to steal the car out of there".

I mean the indentity of the workers means SOOO much to you instread of their efforts.

Considering that both cars are likely insurance writeoffs, I wouldn't care how they are removed; I would just be thankful for the assistance to have it done irrespective of how OR what the nationality of the workers were.

Hmm, how on Earth could they jack the front end of the Civic up?  By lifting the concrete parking structure up first?  And where would you put the jacks? On top of the Cadillac?  As you can see, when there was enough clearance they did lift the Civic.

by using jacks

I wonder if the insurance company would cover this one, but both cars look badly damaged. For sure, no one wanted this to happen. The way the roadside assistance team removed the Honda seems to have worked just fine. I can’t imagine the great tensile force on those cables. They've got some powerful tools there.
