Carscoop reader Richard G. just dropped this picture of Land Rover's Range Rover Evoque Convertible into our mailbox.
This is the first time we see the British firm's study with its fabric top in the up position as both Land Rover's official images as well as the single photo of the car spotted by a Twitter user on the streets of London over the weekend, depicted the Evoque Convertible with its roof open.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is based on the coupe version of the series and will be displayed at next week's Geneva Motor Show with the intent to gauge consumer reaction to the development of such a model.
If the study wins public approval, Land Rover could have a production model ready within the next year or so.

Love the styling of the two-door Evoque, but this concept just reminds me of Billy Bob and Derelict Darrell taking a twenty-four pack of piss water beer along with a hacksaw to liven-up matters.
How does anything from Land Rover remind you of that, what a terrible and pointless reference. The evoque convertible to me looks good its body style seems to fit the top unlike the murano, and this isnt the first time they or anyone has put out a convertible model...freelander....bronco.....g class
It reminds of said reference as it is so terribly, terribly, terribly executed. It's simply a high-priced version of the Murano CrossCabriolet. The other models you listed were properly accomplished as any side-by-side photograph will clearly demonstrate. This is nothing more than a goobermobile.
I wanted to like it, but I just see a Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible.
Horrible! I though this was a joke at first, someone doing this to their own car, or an aftermarket company but RR are going to release this?! Oh dear. To be fair i bet it grows on my though.
This is one of the cleanest, tidiest conversions I've seen in along time. It's not 'terribly executed' at all.
@nicholashall check this out!
