Gas Price Jumps 10 Cents Just as Two Corvettes Show Up

|

As you may have noticed, gas prices have been on the rise these past few days. In fact, a gallon of gasoline now costs more than four dollars and in some cases over five or six dollars.

You can blame the oil companies, economy, world politics, government taxes, OPEC, Iran or maybe gas station owner greed.

Last Wednesday, ABC News’ Cecilia Vega was reporting on the rising gas prices at “World News with Diane Sawyer” live from a gas station in Los Angeles. After her introduction, the video showed footage from various U.S. cities.

Two minutes later, when Vega came back on the air the gas price displayed on the digital board behind her had jumped by 10 cents from US$4.99 to US$ to US$5.09!

Perhaps it's pure coincidence, but during those two minutes a yellow and a silver Corvette had entered the gas station and were waiting at the pumps…

Video follows below.

If anything good will come out of this... maybe we will have less people driving ridiculous vehicles like Expeditions and Armadas

The flashing 9 before the cut suggests the price was about to go up and the numbers about to be changes. Like an alarm clocks time is changed. Anyway it's ridiculous.

This is such a great
resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing
websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free.

I get what youre saying, but unfortunately, here in America, people just dont get it. They still drive their gas guzzlers and speed on highways, thinking they actually save gas by speeding. At leastin Europe, you have better transportation system and your cars are more economical.

I cannot describe how ridiculous that was.

it's been around $1.50AU / L in Australia ($5.70AU / US Gallon) for years.  around 2 years ago it bumped up to $1.80AU ($6.80AU / G) for a couple of months.

doesn't seem so bad until you realise how cheap fuel is in the US!

Have you checked out how much of that price per-gallon is Taxes? You have to pay for all that FREE stuff you get from the Gov.! The price here is because of the Gov., and Stock-market players,(people who can't refine it pushing up the Price). And our current Gov. is trying to raise the price here to match yours, so we can pay for all the stuff they want us to have and we don't won't !

Here in Quebec Canada, the gas is 1.364$ for 1 liter...or 5.16$ a usgal and it's common that our gas station hike the price 0.08$ or close to ten cents a liter many times a year...it went down a few cents after that too...just to let us think we have a rebate...

Gas prices are definitely increasing around the country. In California, I've heard it has steadily been more than 5 dollars a gallon. There are ways you can make your current car more efficient. For those Corvette's in the background, you could get a  Corvette
aluminum radiator that could lead to some gas savings.
