While Volvo may be trying to keep the new V40 under covers until the 2012 Geneva Motor Show’s grand opening in early March, the online pundits have a different opinion.

Following yesterday’s revealing shots, new scans from the Swedish edition of Auto Motor und Sport were leaked onto the web providing an even better view of the 2013 Volvo V40 five-door hatchback.

In addition, we learn that the V40 will measure 4,500 mm or about 177-inches in length. This means it’s only 20 mm or 0.77-inches shorter than the current V50 station wagon, which it will most likely replace.

Volvo continues to keep its cards close to its chest on whether or not the V40 will spawn a replacement for the three-door C30. More to come so stay tuned…
