New photos of the Hyundai i-oniq were dumped onto the web today affording us several fresh views of the concept model including our first look at the rear end and the interior as well as revealing its sporty Lamborghini-style scissor doors.

The Korean company says that the i-oniq study previews the styling of the firm’s next generation of models while also providing a glimpse at future technologies especially in the powertrain and connectivity departments.

The rear-wheel drive i-oniq is said to measure 4,400mm or 173.3 inches long with power being provided by a small displacement 1.0-litre 3-cylinder gasoline engine linked through a generator to a lithium ion electric motor, which produces an output of 109PS or 108bhp.

Hyundai’s new concept model will make its first public outing at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, which runs from March 6 to 18.
