It’s been about a year since Mercedes-Benz launched the third generation of its SLK and German tuning house Väth has decided that it’s time to release a new package for the compact sized hardtop roadster.

Väth’s tuning kit is for the SLK 350, which in stock form, is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 petrol delivering a peak output of 302hp (306PS) and a maximum torque of 370Nm (272 lb-ft).

The revised software bumps output to 326hp (330PS), with torque climbing to 390Nm (288 lb-ft). As a result, top speed is lifted to 269km/h (167mph).

Vath then continues with a new sports exhaust system and an adjustable suspension that allows the driver to lower the car’s ride height from 20 to 65 mm.

The German specialist also cleans up the exterior with an aero package that installs a carbon fiber front and rear apron, side skirts and a boot lid spoiler, while the car now rides on 20-inch forged alloy wheels fitted with 235/30ZR20 tires on the front and 265/25ZR20 tires on the rear axle.

A carbon fiber trim kit for the interior rounds out the changes.

The complete package is priced at a rather hefty €25,192 or about US$32,900 at today’s exchange rates.
