The automotive pundits over at Cheersandgears seem to have scored a hatrick of scoops publishing what they claim to be, the first official shots of the Honda Crosstour Concept, the 2013 Ram 1500 pickup truck and the 2013 Lexus ES sedan, all of which are set to make their world premiere at the New York Auto Show on Wednesday, April 4.
Beginning with Honda's concept model, if this image is indeed real, then the Crosstour study is nothing more than a light facelift of the current model with a revised snout sporting a new chromed grille and a more rugged-looking front bumper, plus different wheels and protective black cladding all around.
The second picture allegedly shows us the 2013 Ram 1500 pickup truck, which looks like it gains a reshaped crosshair grille with a full-chrome treatment (at least on this edition), new headlamp fixtures, possibly featuring LED daytime running lights, and a redesigned bumper with new fog lamps.
The Chrysler Group has already revealed that the 2013 Ram 1500 will get a new 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar V6 matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The third and final model previewed in these photos is the next generation of the Lexus ES sedan, which we will admit, doesn’t look bad from this angle. Aside from a teaser shot published by Lexus, a Chinese website had caught an undisguised prototype of the 2013 ES offering us our first intact view of the premium mid-size sedan.
We'll withhold further judgment for all three cars until we verify their authenticity.

Something is terrible wrong at Honda. How can they look at this car and think it looks better than the previous one? It is hideous.
I think the Crosstour would look pretty good if it had a more wagon like rear end. Just look at the lines, the way they flow towards the back and up. Run that roofline straight back and it would match the door lines perfectly, more glass and it would look far less cramped inside. Get that Photoshop guy to alter this thing, guaranteed it would become more of a seller, and the significantly more practical with more usable cargo space.
The Honda went Emo with that eye liner. Really, what is happening with the designers at Honda, fire them all.
THE NEW ES IS HANDSOME!!!
Wow that ES looks really sweet! Such a nice update from the last generation. The last generation was little too smooth and boring kind of like your mom's luxury car or something. Now it looks like something more.... elegant and striking!
I really like it a lot!
Lexus is on the move! Cant wait for the new LS to come down with the new design. Lexus is promising as ever.
I thought the ES would be quite awkward with the new grill but in motion everything just looks so stunning.
Come on Honda....Really??????
Did you verify their authenticity yet? :-D
Agreed
The Lexus is gorgeous.
as i predicted. they managed to make the crosstour uglier before. so sorry america, your gonna be subjected to this monstrosity for a little longer.
i do hope its fake though otherwise it shows Honda has really lost its way
I see they're trying to butch-up the Crosstour. The thing's already ugly, might as well go for broke. What a mess!
I can see not messing with a winning formula but the Honda Crosstour? I doubt the legions of consumers who DIDN'T buy this stinker the last time will do a 180 and go for this iteration. The Lexus Camry is no less predictable but at least it sells.
As soon as the new ES comes out, Lexus best selling car will exceed expectations. Ya'll see.
This is in regards to the Honda Crosstour: BWWUUAAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, let me get this straight. Everybody complains on how ugly this thing looks and.... Honda makes it look.... UGLIER!!!
WHY HONDA WHY?! Thank fruit it's not coming to Australia!
Re: Honda Crosstour concept, it missed its launch date by two day... It isn't April Fools anymore, Honda.
seeing as it looks just like the current one but with a new front end this is worlds better, either way the crosstour is an ugly car bottom line but that grill they have on the current one is horrendous at least this grill looks more conservative. I find it interesting that you think for some reason this car is wildly different than the current one..it got a new front end...
Another styling disaster by honda. They are completely lost in the woods. Regardless, the sheeple will line up to buy them, so does it really matter?
I hate to say it, but I think the Dodge Ram is the best looking of this bunch. Lexus looks like it's trying too hard. They car looks chunky like an amorphous blob. Any style the car may have is invested in that ridiculous grill.
Crosstour Concept? Looks like a minor model change to me.
Honda has seriously gone off the deep end. Other companies are coming out with concepts and then producing them a few years later.
Honda shows a MMC as a concept, on a hideous vehicle that doesn't sell and expects what? Fan boys from around the world to rejoice? "What a concept! Revolutionary! Sign me up for 3!"
Honda/Acura is such a dog. Honda is starting to experience what GM experienced 5 years ago(and some could argue is still experiencing).
Everyone in the boardroom is patting each other on the back while consumers run from their product. All the executives have blinders on.
At least they still dominate the motorcycle market.
Wow totally was thinking the exact same thing, scrolled down and saw your post and glad there was a second opinion lol. I think the tip for me was that it's forward cabin and panel proportions vaguely mirror that of the Subaru Outback. This as a tall wagon would go head to head with the Outback, which competition is always great!
nice opinion.. thanks for sharing...
They should just rename it to Cross Dresser... is this being designed by Honda's first ever blind design team????
I really hope they bring the Aztek or Buick Rendevous back so we can finally see a competition for the ugliest car ever..
Wow ... you are the most positive and hopeful man I have ever met....
