What exactly does ST stand for?
If only the wagon would come to the US.
No option of a Powershift Transmission...sigh...next!
Sports Technologies... i think
Ford. An American founded company. Builds cars Americans want, but doesn't sell those cars to Americans. Instead, sells the cars the Americans want to the Brits, who in turn, ridicule American cars.
ST stands for Sport Technologies..........
The Focus ST was developed by a team consisting of staff from Ford’s European Team RS and Ford’s U.S. Special Vehicles Team (SVT). The Ford Global Performance Vehicles Group is headed by Jost Capito. The “ST” in the moniker stands for “Sport Technologies.”
"ST" stands for..."Sport Technology"
Has Ford solved it's issues with the Powershift? There have been consumer complaints about the less than smooth operation of this trans. I attributed some of that to consumers not knowing the characteristics of a dual-clutch, similar to the operation of the DSG on my GTI. They sometimes give the feel of a manual in operation, and are not always as smooth as a normal slush box.
Was headed by Jost Capito!
He joined the dark side...(VW)
Thank you Carl. That really helps.
