You all remember how the crew from the Fast and Furious franchise did those ridiculous heists on the highway, right?
A gang from Romania tried to pull off something very similar by driving what looks like an SUV very closely behind a truck on the highway at night (hence the quality of the video).
Once they were close enough to the lorry, two of the wannabe thieves climb out of the vehicle's sunroof in attempt to open the doors and steal whatever it was transporting.
The problem for the Fast & Furious-style bandits is that not only did they not succeed but also a police chopper from Romania's Department for Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) filmed them during the attempt.
According to reports, this is not the first time that this Romanian gang has used this method, which is why DIICOT was on their tail.

Serious "Balls of Steel" award goes to the thieves!
Oh, you got it wrong.
This was going on for some time now, and they successfully robbed lots of lorry drivers by using this method, that's why DIICOT was on their trail. Also, just as in the movies they were focusing on electronics, coffee and cigarettes.
DIICOT also raided 21 locations and they managed to recover goods worth in excess of 300.000 euro and arrested 15 of the gang members.
You're kidding? It's CG reproduction or something, you can see it at glance... no matter how bad camera will it be or you would NEVER get image like that...
It's probably CGI over the raw footage so people can have an idea of what's going on.
It's a thermal camera camera as the action was taking place at night, there is no CG on that image. Even on the top bar you can clearly see the camera it's on FLIR mode.
Search for FLIR on youtube and you'll see a lot of examples filmed with such a camera, most of them from military planes or helicopters - like this one.
umm why is the camera on before they actually rob the truck??
unless the camera was already fixed at a right side position
You have no idea what you're talking about. Those cameras are very sophisticated! Using FLIR, they can tell the camera to lock onto a "target" then gyros in the camera housing adjust for the helicopter's movement so that the video appears very smooth. This technology has been around for years, especially in military use. How do you think we get such great video from the drone planes?
