If you watch the spine-tingling video that follows, you’d be hard pressed to believe that not a single person was injured during this racing incident.

Yet amazingly, both the driver of the Ford Fiesta rally car, Nicolas Diaz, and his co-pilot, Luis Allende, walked away unscathed from the accident that occurred just 50 meters before the end of the first stage of last week’s Rally de Catamarca in Argentina.

Equally surprising is the fact that none of the spectators was hit by the car or the bits and pieces that went flying into the air as the Fiesta cart rolled into a small valley.

Later on, Diaz issued a press release stating that his car suffered a brake failure around the corner sending the Fiesta down the mountain side at full speed.

We’ve embedded the videos of the crash right after the break.
