A gruesome sight greeted drivers passing under a highway crossing in Melbourne, Australia, on late Thursday, after a truck carrying approximately 400 sheep overturned tossing the animals below.
According to local media reports, at least three cars on the Princes Highway inbound lanes were damaged severely when the sheep fell on the road, while one vehicle rolled over four times.
Amazingly, no human was seriously hurt, but unfortunately, most of the sheep had to be put down.
A video report from Ten News follows below, but be warned, some may find the images disturbing.

That's awful.
Yes, how awful, especially for the sheep.
Livestock trailers are not particularly top-heavy, to dump it over like that it seems likely the driver was speeding, unless there was some incident with another vehicle that caused him to swerve in avoidance.
I really don't know why this is on the site....you guys are becoming more of a News Video Leak of bad automotive mishaps. Like, I really want to see a bunch of dead sheep on the road. Come on, stick to what you guys do best, and that's showing us the latest in automotive.
Please.
What's with the guy in the blue blanket, it's as if he's been through the events of Die Hard 2. If you've ever been to an Arabic meatshop where you choose a sheep or goat and they cut it's arteries and let the blood drain until the animal dies in front of you, you will most certainly know what I'm on about. This guy must be having a laugh!
And yet you watched it?
Ewe!
Why assume he watched it? I didn't watch it, yet was prepared to leave a comment - I couldn't agree more with Mark Ansman.
i hate people like you i really do...do you expect them to post happy news everyday? because the world is a wonderland?
The blonde girl talks like a sheep! LOL
Me too. Didn't watch it yet left a comment. I agree with Mark too. Autoblog did the same thing and some people were wondering why they posted this too.
that's horrible
I also prefer not watch the clip...I'm also pertubbed...and the "it's raining sheep" heading further perpetuates my perception of the lack of sensitivity in this instance...but some of us can stomach the most bizzare things I guess...
