Even though Aston Martin officials continue to keep their lips sealed, the car that will replace the DBS and which you will come to know as the Vanquish is not much of a secret any more, especially after the debut of the concept and the recent sighting of an undisguised pre-production model in Italy.
This probably explains why the British supercar brand's engineers did not bother much with the camouflage on this test car that was photographed lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The light masking of some parts, namely the headlamps, tail lamps and the rear quarter window, doesn't really obstruct our view of the new Vanquish, which updates the design of the outgoing DBS with styling cues from the One-77.
Positioned behind Aston Martin's traditional grille is the DBS' sonorous 6.0-liter V12 that will get a bump to 550-horses or perhaps even more.
We're told that the official unveiling of the new Vanquish may take place online as early as this week. In any case, we'll keep you posted.

They just put on stickers to draw attention. You can see it looks just like all other Aston Martins.
It's not like if the car would drive around completely naked anybody would see that this is in fact the new model.
@Aston Martins designers:
Gone out to the pub?
OK, call me crazy but I think it looks worse now.
As nice looking as Aston Martin makes their vehicles, the Vanquish definitely will not have the same curb appeal as the recently departed DBS.
Aston painted it the 'rose gold' colour
means they are testing the final configuration and preparing for production
Cant wait xD
