If there is one maintenance task all car owners can carry out by themselves without any special skills, it is cleaning your vehicle.
That doesn’t mean you should go grab your mother's, wife's, neighbor's, girlfriend's or boyfriend's broom and dip it into a mix of chlorine and bleach nor should you hose down your car both inside and out – don't grin, someone actually did that to a brand new Mercedes-Benz CLS…
In cooperation with Drive, Larry Kosilla, the owner of professional cleaning shop AMMO NYC, has made an interesting video tutorial with some basic tips on what to do and what to avoid when cleaning the exterior of your car.
Check out the video with the famous Audi R8 Blackbird posing as the cleaning model right after the break.

Sorry, Paul Dalton/Miracle Detail rules the roost. Paul is doing cutting-edge detailing such as using dry ice to clean.
I detail cars by hand and was woundering where I could get some of these products used on the wheels. I have some products that get the job done but im really interested in the one that gets behind the rim. Thanks and if your ever on the northshore outside new orleans look me up. currently working from home or moble on the northshore under Pine's Auto Detailing.
im one of those who like dirty cars, not dirty to the point you cant see out of, but ones that are dusty, looks kinda cool like the owner is actually using his car a lot
Nice advertisement.
when did Vince, the ShamWow guy, start promoting auto detailing products?
I use RaceGlaze to get to the back of the wheels. You can also use "Wheel Woolies."
