As strange as it may sound to most drivers, the more rare and expensive a classic sports car is, the more chances you have of finding one with very few miles on the odometer and in pristine condition in the used car market.
Case in point, yet another very low mileage 1980 BMW M1 Coupe, which just came into the possession of Austin, Texas-based car dealer Motoreum.
"We recently acquired a pristine 1980 BMW M1 that has 2,200 miles [3,540 kilometers]," Andrea from Motoreum told Carscoop. "It just arrived to our shop and more photos will be posted by the end of next week."
The dealer has not revealed how much it is asking for the classic BMW sports car.
The M1 remains the most important and the only mid-engine model to come out of the BMW M factory to date.
Conceived by Giorgetto Giugiaro's Italdesign, the M1 features a mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 3.5-liter straight-six delivering 274-horses (277PS) coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels.
The M1 can reach a top speed of 260 km/h or 162 mph.

Only thing I didn't get was: why TWO BMW logos out back on both corners ... looks a bit off
Here's a car I would like to own. I remember seeing one race at the Grand Prix of Miami back in the early 80s, it made short work of the 911 Porsches, nothing else on the track could touch it.
This thing was designed in back in those days of debauchery aka the 80's, where the Europe disco reigned supreme, moral values, and decency were out of the window and everyone were into heavy drugs like cocaine and heroin to assuage their deep seated anxiety brought on by the cold war. (particularly the Germans). So in light of all these, anything could could have happened.
it would not have fit in the center. so BMW had 3 options:
1. Redesign trunk lid. (very expensive)
2. Make smaller badge (for a car that sold 500 copies)
3. stick leftover badges on both sides.
I don't envy the bean counter who had to agonize over these choices.
The business of used cars is flourishing in India as it gives people's option of buying luxury or exotic cars at low price. And selling of used cars is now a worthy option.
Such a pretty car, then again Lambo helped. BMW has changed courses to SUV way to far.
The craze for luxury cars in India is continuously increasing.BMW is one of those luxury car brands which cars are greatly bought by Indian and these cars are not for everyday commute, but their buyers would buy them for status and not really for everyday use.Now the launching of Bmw India 3 series will establish BMW in India in more pronounced manner.
