How to Destroy a Skoda Superb with a Tractor and a Bobcat

|

Like the person who shared this video on YouTube, we have no idea why these men are destroying what looks like a perfectly good car – a Skoda Superb, to be precise. For all we know it could be a skit from a television show.

Still, that didn’t hold us back from spending close to four minutes watching a backhoe-loader with the help of a skid-steer loader doing their thing on the Czech saloon.

Head past the jump to check out the video for yourself and if you happen to have more information, leave us a comment.

In Europe it costs >20000 Euro... such a waste.

Why would anyone do that? It's such a nice car!

I have a feeling its the car of someone they dont like very much and they wanna show him just how unliked he really is.  Perhaps his iphone or something was locked in the glovebox.  The intention seemed to be 'make the car inacessable' not 'destroy the car'.  Either way, that poor car!

Why would you do that? I mean, it's not like they are crushing a very rare or expensive car, but it's still a brand new sedan...

Perhaps this was a model being used for testing per EU standards? When the car was brought out the Airbags were deployed. Could be a development/press car.

Nothing new for me. I work in a car dealership in Poland. We were forced by a insurance company to destroy in the same way a brand new car, because it had a small dent on the roof !

I also think this Skoda is highly likely a pre-production car. Those cars have to be entirely destroyed, so no pre-production parts can be resold and thus get into public commerce.

These people are complete idiots! In stead of donating it and bringing someone much happiness, they destroy it! Why on earth would you waste so much, when you can gain someones heart ! Same goes for Jeremmy Clarkson(or how ever his name was)...

How about this Lexus RX that suffered the same fate?

I live near a scrapyard in Germany, where they do the same things with brandnew VW and Audis...cars, that where used for several tests and have to be destroyed.

This is a repost of a fairly old video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrgNg412x5g and this car is afaik a prototype

Seems like a strong car. I'd be in an accident in one! Why did the guy driving the bigger JCB put his supports down when he was bashing the car downwards? Maybe the digger mechanism won't work otherwise??

maybe its a tractor advert?

I agree, it is probably a pre-production model that has to be destroyed to avoid tax penalties and product liabilities.

THAT WAS SUPERB!!!!

Must be a pre-production testvehicle.  If you look in the beginning of the film, you see the curtainairbag hanging down behind the window of the righthand frontdoor.
