It took Lamborghini only 15 months after launch to produce the 1,000th example of its Aventador LP700-4 - faster than any other V12-powered model in the company's history.
For example, the Aventador's predecessor, the MurciƩlago, reached the same milestone two years and five months after it launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2001, while previous models took even more.
Lamborghini says that in order to cover demand, it increased production from three vehicles a day in the third quarter of 2011 to 4.5 today. Even so, the Italian automaker claims that the Aventador is booked for the next 18 months.
The milestone model with chassis number 1,000 was finished in an Argos Orange hue and was destined for a German client named Hans Scheidecker, who received the keys on Thursday from Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.
The company's future plans for the Aventador include the presentation of a roadster model within the next year.
I have always dreamed of owning a Lambo from the moment I first laid eyes on the Countach, however I would definitley not fit in to the crowd with my dress style.
ReplyDeleteThe CEO of Lamborghini needs a new tailor who suopplies suits that actually fit him correctly.
And by saying that you prove once again you will never own a Lamborghini just because you don't understand Italian fashion :)
