To the surprise of a 56-year old woman from Boston and no one else (we hope…), trying to ride a motorized scooter on an escalator can have damaging effects on your well-being and…personal dignity.
Surveillance camera footage from the Broadway MBTA Station showed the middle-aged woman attempting to hitch a ride on the escalator (instead of using the elevator) and flipping over in the process.
With the help of a by-stander, the woman got up on her own two feet, shaken but not hurt. She then walked down the elevator all by herself – just in case you were wondering…
Boston CBS reported that the incident took place last week. You can watch the surveillance video right below the jump.

Before you all make fun of her, just remember she could be somebodys dear sweet old mother, I feel bad for her , yes she should had known not to do that but It is what it is,
Cool story, bro. Go on..
Hahhahhahahahahhahahahahahah! How do stupid people live so long?
Aeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Bet u she was American lol
Because scooting 50 feet to catch an elevator is always less fun than having your brain cells crack along the edges of an escalator...

"She could be somebody dear sweet old mother" and that is just sad. Darwin fails again:'(
I don't like to see people get hurt but really! Common sense?
Amurika f**k yeah!
Let me guess what she will do.
1) Hire a lawyer.
2) Shes going to SUE the transit system for not putting a clear sign saying no scooters allowed on the escalators.
3) SUE the Escalator company for not putting a warning saying these stairs not made for scooters.
4) SUE the 2 Smaritans who tried to help her because they increased her injuries by trying to move her.
5) Sue the person in uniform for not pushing the escalator stop button faster.
6) Sue the city for allowing contracted escalator companies for installing these types of unsafe escalators to the public
7) Sue YouTube and CarScoop for posting these video's online.
8) Sue me for being insensitive to her ordeal. (But I live in Canada so I am safe, but then that means I can never go to the USA to visit my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins in NY, SC, and California, because I'll be arrested at the border and sued by her)
If she can walk and go down these stairs why does she need to roll on a scooter? I understand that she might have some disability but surely sitting and rolling is not better because your not moving your muscles to reinforce and keep them toned. She sure don't look that old to me. Whatever disability she may have, she sure lacks common sense. It reminds me of that other old woman that sue McDonalds because she put steaming hot coffee between her legs and got burned.
Now I know why some people call toilets Johns.
Her own stupidity is one thing, but the risk she created for injury to others who helped is quite another thing.
Your idiotic assessment of this incident is an embarressment to the majority of Canadians.
You're entitled to say what you want but keep the fact that you are a Canadian to yourself, please.
You have no idea of this situation and you are making fun of a person in a wheelchair.
To the unfortunate lady in the wheel chair, please accept my apology on behalf of the intelligent people of Canada
I guess when it comes to Hugh's relative, it ain't funny no more. so sensitive Jorgan, have a glass of water, and take a seat, I mean stand.
Another insensitive asshole..........I really seem to annoy the riff raff. You must be Ted's friend.
Either they do not have elevators in Boston (which I doudt), or we are talking about one more idiot who made her "show"!
Just go by feet - there won't be that messy "driving accident"!
Bitch didnt even NEED the wheelchair, Just fat and lazy
She took the idea from a Six Flags roller coaster ride...
