If it’s added power that Porsche Panamera Diesel owners want, then TechArt has a solution with the release of a new performance kit named “TA 070/D1” that includes a software optimization for the 3.0-liter V6 oil-burner.

With the reprogrammed ECU, output is bumped from 247hp (250PS) to 276hp (280PS), with maximum torque climbing from 550Nm (406 lb-ft) to 600Nm (442 lb-ft).

Unlike similar conversions from other companies, TechArt installs a “Sport” button on the center console that will release the extra boost of power only when the driver wants it.

The German tuning brand says that with the Sport button on, the Panamera Diesel finishes the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint 0.2 seconds faster than the regular model at 6.6 seconds while its top speed increases by 5km/h (3.1mph) to 247km/h (154mph).

In Germany, the new chip costs €2,490 (plus VAT/Tax and installation) or about US$3,080.
