If it seems like Mercedes-Benz is releasing fresh pictures of the new generation of the A-Class hatchback every few weeks, that's because it is.
We suspect the love the brand with the star is showing to its most compact and affordable model has something to do with the fact that it has received well over 40,000 orders in Europe alone more than a month before its market launch in mid-September.
So high is the demand for the rejuvenated A-Class that Mercedes-Benz was forced to hire Finnish contract manufacturer Valmet Automotive to build more than 100,000 cars from 2013 through 2016.
In Europe, the A-Class is available for order with three inline-four turbo diesels ranging in output from 107hp (109PS) to 134hp (136PS), and three four-cylinder petrol units producing from 121hp (122PS) to 208hp (211PS).
In addition, Mercedes-Benz has already confirmed plans to enhance the range with a high-performance A45 AMG variantin the first quarter of 2013. The AMG-prepped model will sport a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine delivering 330hp (335PS) and all-wheel drive.

BMW wants it's 1 series door treatment back.
the small iPad looks ridiculous... Give it a screen nicely integrated (maybe that could hide when we leave the car)
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilarious!......................
Great looking premium hatch. So why is the US getting it again? It's nice to always get screwed on the best hatches around.
I like the dash..
but the outside isnt too my taste...looks a bit odd..
for me, too much like a BMW 1 series...
Did you really just want to make a ( very lame ) joke ? Because I fail to see any resemblance to BMW 1-series doors.
I also tend to think, the exterior is nothing to rave about, I think the 1 Series looks better even though I don't like it....I still say the Volvo V40 FTW!!!!
Is the black model on the wind tunnel sporting wheel trims?
As with a lot of recent models I find the front bonnet shutline very distracting to the looks.
that boomerang curve on the side detracts from the overall design, suppose thats not a bad thing as it looks like a chubby toddler looking for attention in k-mart !
Check the cars headlights and tail lights- you can clearly see the bezels for US sidemarkers in there which means that the US will be getting the new A class very soon. :)
If Mercedes want to introduce low end cars then maybe they should start a new brand. Honda>Acura, Nissan>Infiniti, Toyota>Lexus...
The Mercedes A45AMG is a heroic attempt of down-sizing turbo technology.
Her thermal efficiency is parallel with the BMW M135i unit(3.0-litres twin turbo), I do assess.
She also seems a formidable rival toward the Lexus IS350 and the Audi S4.
OMG this is so hot!!! Please make it available in USA!! Please!!
