While sharing a new video of the all-new 2013 Pathfiner, Nissan also revealed base pricing for its 7-seater crossover that will reach U.S. showrooms this fall starting at $28,270 (likely not including a destination and handling fee), which makes it $980 cheaper than the outgoing, truck based 4×2 model with a 266hp 4.0-liter V6.

The new Pathfinder utilizes a passenger car-like unibody structure and is offered exclusively with a 3.5-liter V6 engine rated at 260-horses. It is assembled at Nissan’s manufacturing plant in Smyrna, Tennessee.

A couple of months before it hits dealer lots, Nissan brought the 2013 Pathfinder to New York City to give consumers a first real-life look at the SUV.

The video that follows shows the reactions of New Yorkers to the 2013 Pathfinder, though being an official marketing stint, it’s all warm and fuzzy with one evidently uninformed consumer going as far as saying “That’s a very good price because SUVs start at $40,000 and up”.
