It's not uncommon for street racers to use a nitrous oxide system (NOS) as an oxidizing agent to temporarily boost the power output of their internal combustion engines.
Amusingly, nitrous oxide (N2O) is also known as the laughing gas – yes, it’s the same anesthetic drug used by your dentist.
However, something tells us that the owner of this Fox-body Ford Mustang wasn't in the mood for laughing when the NOS backfired blowing the top half of the intake manifold through the hood while he was getting ready to race against a fifth generation Mustang.
See how it happened in the videos that follow right past the jump.

Well done, use the bus service now to go to work....
Fox's are 79-93, this is an SN95 mustang.
The SN95 is also called the Fox-4 platform, it's an evolution of the original Fox architecture
This is what happens when you fail in math class, your calculations are so far off it leads to catastrophic failure. Though this is a Ford, so it was just as likely caused by a defect in manufacturing.
The lesson here is, pay attention in math class, and don't buy a Ford Mustang, or any Ford that isn't a truck.
i dont think, that anybody calculated anything here :D
