Not too long after Skoda sales and marketing boss Jürgen Stackmann confirmed the development of a hatchback version of the new European market Rapid compact sedan, Khalil Bouguerra of Virtuel-Car used his photoshop and artistic skills to visualize the five-door model.
Bouguerra's proposal blends the body of the Vision D concept car displayed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show with styling elements from the Rapid, which gets a hatch tailgate revealing a massive boot with 550-litres of space.
Nonetheless, we should point out that according to Stackmann, the Rapid Hatchback will get a rear end that's closer in styling to the VW Golf than to the sportier looking Vision D Concept.
Head past the jump for a high-resolution version of the CGI and tell us what you think.

Inclined rear window reminds me a bit of Mk2 Ford Focus, as well the rear kind of makes me think of Seat Leon Mk1. Looks nice.
Better than the sedan-looking 5door... but that's just a photoshop... and they really have to restore the interior quality (at least on par with Octavia's)
This is supposed to be cheaper than Octavia, I think the cost cutting comes from lower quality interior.
A Skoda is anything but rapid. It looks like a low budget Cayenne.
It does look good though.
Definitely has a modern look and feel, need to see some more angles before I can pass judgment
Too Seatish for my taste but it´s just a photoshoped rendering...will be an interesting proposition from Skoda.
The VisionD -consept lookd great, I hope the 5-door hatch will look like this.
