Just like drivers of motorized vehicles and motorcycles, bicyclists really need to keep their eyes and ears open and pay attention to their surroundings in order avoid an accident. We will give you three video examples of what we mean.

In the first incident (you may want to lower the volume), the biker looks like he paid way too much attention on a specific part of a person walking in front him – in a sort “objects in mirror (replace with eye sight) are closer than they appear” kind of way.

Next we have a biker who underestimated the gap on the pavement and ended face down on the concrete.

As for the third incident, when you see a large animal like an elephant walking on the road, you may want to keep a safe distance when attempting a pass unless you want to experience a trunk slap
