Two drivers in hot hatchbacks were getting ready to race each other at a drag strip in the German town of Bautzen in eastern Saxon.
Before starting the race, the motorists revved up their engines and made a short dash to get their vehicle tires warmed up.
Upon returning to the starting line in reverse, however, the driver of the white-colored first generation VW Golf didn’t pay attention or he had some sort of mechanical failure and ended up crashing into a Honda CRX that was patiently waiting for its turn on the drag strip!

Helmut should be wearing a helmet. Safety is not a concern at this drag strip.

he tryed to reverse fast and burn/warm the tires once more but the crx guy parked to close... ok its not the honda guy's fault(maybe little) its the polo drivers,he gave it to much reverse ooomph for the tires to slow him down when he hits first gear again :)

I saw this happen at the old Dallas International Motor Speedway years ago. Sadly, it was a 60's Corvette that was on the receiving end of the accident.
