First Photos of 2013 Peugeot RCZ Coupe Facelift

|

The onslaught of new and updated production cars and concept models from Peugeot that are heading to the Paris Motor Show (including the 2008 CUV and Onyx studies) continues with the first imagery of the refreshed for the 2013 model year Peugeot RCZ Coupe.

The facelift comes a little over two years since the two-door model went on sale in Europe and it brings some welcome styling changes such as the replacement of the large front grille with a much more petite unit along with a new front bumper housing LED daytime running lights and redesigned headlamps.

Peugeot's designers also removed the background on the brand's logo on the hood, while the car pictured here appears to be riding on a newly styled set of wheels.

It is likely that the French carmaker made some upgrades to the interior trim and possibly under the hood, but we'll have more detailed information on that in the coming days.

I'm the only one who doesn't like it?

To me it only looks really better in the nearly direct frontal shot, where it looks like a smiling face, and the rounded corners of the headlight are a definite improvement, but from most every other angle, I think the original looks better, cleaner more concise lines, less breakup.  I think I'd like to have these headlights on the original version.

Still it's hard to say since these are not the best photos, we really need to see direct frontal and profile shots, and a walk around video to really do a proper evaluation of the body. The only chance for those of us in the states where we'll likely never get to see this car.

No your not. I think it's the worst face-lift ever! Maybe not as ugly than a Hyundai Coupe (Tiburon) 1999-2001.

Did they really need to do this? You don't see many of them around so to my eyes, the original still looks quite fresh.
