On Monday morning, Audi came out with a Spartan press release announcing that it will debut the new RS5 Convertible online via live streaming this Thursday, September 6, before the high-performance convertible model makes its first public appearance at the Paris Motor Show later this month.

The new open-top model will share the same 4.2-liter V8 that generates 444hp (450PS / 331kW) as the RS5 Coupe.
The naturally-aspirated engine will be matched to a seven-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission with a launch control program transferring power to all four wheels via Audi’s quattro system.
Other performance upgrades will include a tauter suspension, more powerful brakes and a revised steering system, while the RS5 package will be complemented by a wider body featuring bespoke aero parts, larger rims and sportier interior trim.
