Daihatsu’s Indonesian subsidiary Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) has prepared a concept vehicle never seen before for visitors to this week’s 20th Indonesia International Motor Show in Jakarta.

The brand new study is named UFC – and no, it doesn’t stand for Ultimate Fighting Championship but Ultra Functional Compact. ADM says it designed the crossover model after it “carefully studied customers’ needs in Indonesia”.

The UFC has seating for six in three rows and features a long wheelbase and very short front and rear overhangs. The seats can be arranged in different ways and the car gets sliding rear doors while the designers did away with the B-pillar to provide passengers with unobstructed entry and exit.

ADM says that the car “is surprisingly convenient and can be used in a range of living conditions in Indonesia”. No word if and what kind of powertrain Daihatsu’s subsidiary had in mind when it was designing the UFC.
