No need to explain why speeding between vehicles stuck in traffic with a motorcycle, especially when its pouring rain, is a recipe for disaster.
On the other hand, perhaps we do since some riders insist upon placing themselves in danger like this motorcyclist, who was kind enough to share his painful story as it was recorded by his helmet-mounted camera.
Make the move after the jump to watch how it ended.

Why bikers - vampires? Because they move quickly, suddenly appear! They may appear: left, right, front or back, and sometimes on top. And most importantly, they are not reflected in the mirrors! ) In Russia there is no law that directly prohibits motorcycles move between lanes. Therefore, you can often see a bike that rides through the traffic jam at 100 km \ h Not only that, the police actually forbidden to pursue motorcyclists. They (motorcyclists) to all questions - one answer: you have to look in the rearview mirror. And what I'm going through a traffic jam, at speed on a wet road -...hmm... problem? do not teach me how to live - so they say. It would be fair to punish them both, but the Russian court convicted only driver of the car, he will pay the repair and treatment. That's it. Buy a bike, ride what you like.
Lane splitting is legal in California. Not at high speed. But it's legal.
No offense, but he got what he deserved.
Speeding up the middle will get you knocked on your ass.
Genius!
Yikes... roll the dice enough and you're bound to get snake eyes...
How often people cross lanes in front of me without looking and/or using their turn signal.... Then again I won't drive faster than 30kph (usually slower) so i can stop pretty quickly.
Some even do not want me to pass even though it is legal in Holland. They simply place their car right beside the car in the next lane so I am forced to stop... Oftentimes I think about clipping their side mirror, but never do.
Both are wrong, but I hope they still catched the car driver for leaving the scene.
Dear Carscoop,
FYI: going "...between vehicles stuck in traffic with a motorcycle," is called "lane splitting": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lane_splitting
car's driver not signaled; biker slug reflex. wrong, wrong, wrong.
As a long time rider I never did understand lane splitting. It has got to be the most ill advised thing a rider can do in dense traffic. Throw in some speed and some wet roads and the result is what you see. It's bad enough out there with so many distracted drivers isn't it a bit too much to ask them to watch for a speeding projectile between them and the car next to them? Stupid!
