What you see pictured above is the first camouflage-free detail of the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 full-size pickup truck.

GM released the cropped image of the new truck’s headlamp and front grille assembly today to inform us that it will reveal the next Silverado during a special event in the Detroit area on December 13, 2012.

The unveiling will take place in advance of the truck’s public premiere at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in mid-January, where GM will also debut the next Corvette C7.

General Motors has not released any other official details on the new Silverado that will also form the base for the next GMC Sierra, however, there has been word that Chevy’s truck will grow in size featuring a brawnier” look and possibly gain a new small-block V8 with direct injection and a 3.6-liter V6 with up to 320hp.
