Hyundai UK Expands i30 Hatchback and Tourer Lineups with New Range Topping Premium Trim

|

The arrival of autumn has brought with it a new range topping Premium trim grade and three new exterior colors for the UK market Hyundai i30 hatchback and Tourer (estate / station wagon) models.

The Premium trim incorporates all the equipment contained previously within the optional Convenience and Individual packages (both of which have now been discarded) as standard along with several additional features on top of that for what Hyundai describes as a "relatively nominal increase in overall price".

Both the i30 hatch and Tourer Premium models come equipped with newly styled 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles with illumination and automatically folding door mirrors that house puddle lamps.

Inside, the Premium grade builds on the Style Nav trim adding features such as automatically dimming rear view mirror, leather upholstery, electric driver’s seat with lumbar support, heated front seats, keyless entry with engine start/stop button plus supervision cluster with LCD colour display and a height adjustable passenger seat.

The Premium is offered with two engine choices, an 118bhp (120PS) 1.6-litre petrol linked to a manual gearbox on the hatchback and a 1.6-litre CRDi 126bhp (128PS) diesel on both Hatchback and Tourer with either a manual or automatic transmission.

Prices start from £19,995 OTR for the i30 Premium 5dr hatchback.

Along with the new trim level, Hyundai has also extended the colour palette to include three fresh shades named Cool Red (solid), Ice Blue (metallic) and Blueberry Blue (metallic).

WELL, I wish the diesel Hatchback manual came to Australia, the little shits dont seem to bring it here so I just found out today when I went down to order one, both Mazda 3 and Ford Focus don't do it either. Its a long wait till 2014 to see if the new Mazda 3 will have a diesel manual. Looks like the new Honda Civic Diesel Manual then, is what Ill be getting in about several months when its released here.
