A few years before the almighty Volkswagen Group came into the picture, the Bugatti brand was brought back to life after nearly four decades of hibernation by Italian entrepreneur Romano Artioli who acquired the rights to the name in 1987.

Four years later, Bugatti presented its first modern day car, the EB110 powered by a 60-valve, quad-turbocharged V12 with 553hp (561PS) turning all four wheels through a six-speed stick shift.

In 1992, the Molsheim, France-based company added a second variant to the EB110’s range named the SS for SuperSport, which was lighter and even more powerful than the original car with the V12 tuned to deliver 603hp (611PS) for a top speed of 348 km/h (216 mph) and 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.2 seconds.

And it is this rare gem, of which only around 30 are believed to have been built, that is featured in a short video with a lot of tire smoke and which you can watch right after the break.
