One of the many perks of being a professional drifter is that you have the opportunity to do things that other drivers can only dream of, like for example, sliding between and around brand new cars at a manufacturer’s facility.

Welcome to the tedious world of Vaughn Donald Gittin Jr. who was summoned by Ford to its Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan, which beginning in 2004, has built every Mustang to date at an average pace of 500 cars per shift.

The 32-year old self-taught drifter from Annapolis jumped in his Ford Mustang RTR racer and burned a whole lot of rubber around the carmaker’s plant, test track and a parking lot full of Mustangs, which from what we understand, are the 5 percent of cars picked at random for a full test-track evaluation.

While most encounters were a close call, one with a red Mustang coupe didn’t go as planned with Vaughn leaving his marks on the car…
