The driver of a modded Acura NSX, sold as a Honda in markets outside of North America, was filmed by a passenger of a Nissan 240SX (we don't know if he was one of his buddies or not) following on from behind when he lost control of the Japanese sports car on a freeway north of the city of San Diego in California.
Given the heavy rain and the fact that the NSX doesn't look like it was going fast, we'll have to assume that the wet conditions forced the mid-engine coupe to aquaplane and slide off the road.
Despite the mishap, the owner of the NSX should feel lucky at the end of the day as he only just missed one of the bridge's cement columns.
The passenger and driver of the 240SX, on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying the NSX driver's misfortune as we can hear them shouting, "Oh, oh my God," and "Do we have it on video?" before one of them yells "Good one bro!"…
Watch the video for yourself right below the break.

That spoiler is terrible.
prolly the biggest spoiler ive seen other than the superbird
Ricers, ricers everywhere!
Pants were shat.
He was just reaching speeds that allowed the GIANT spoiler to begin take off! We will reach altitudes to 10 feet today. Our destination should be reached in less than 1 minute.
It is well named.
-> Ugh haters everywhere...there are many factors to this aquaplaining:
- bald tires
- speed too fast
^ But he did save the precious NSX, which is a very commendable job especially driving an mid-engined car. I have an S2000 and I experienced the same thing at a higher speed, but I saved mine too.
Yes, he saved the overall vehicle, but there is still damage as the NSX is not an off-road vehicle. I would not even consider purchasing this vehicle without it being placed on frame alignment rack and measurements taken; suspension fully reviewed; a devaluation of vehicle price. Anyone with this category of vehicle should know what driving conditions are best; clearly, this driver took chances and lost.
Southern California drivers get 3-4 rain days a year. That is an old Freeway with poor drainage, add stupidity, and you get crashes galore. It is not North of San Diego, it is 163 leaving downtown San Diego.
Very lucky.
i was the one driving the 240sx he was being a dilweed in downtown and should be happy he didnt wreck there, keep your hooning in the right areas children
