In a few weeks from now, the most commercially successful Lamborghini model of all times with more than 10,000 worldwide sales, will enter its 10th year of production, which the Italian carmaker says will be the last for the current Gallardo.
Lamborghini made the announcement through a two minute-long film that takes us for a short trip to the Gallardo's birthplace, while also releasing a special webpage where customers can place their orders for the revamped 2013MY LP 560-4 models and which contains the following statement:
"It’s been a crazy beautiful ride for the past decade. One we’ve all enjoyed. And now the last Gallardo is here, the final masterpiece of the collection. Wind in your hair, smile on your face, foot to the floor. Italy personified. Drive it now, or regret it later."
We do know that Lamborghini is preparing a successor to the Gallardo series, but for the time being, the VW Group-owned supercar maker is keeping a tight lid on information.

WTF??? WOW! REALLY??? I love the current Gallardo but not the newer refreshed one. But it's really too bad they're not coming out with an all new one. Oh well...
Bring on the Cabrera teasers already - a mini Aventador at a more attainable price point would be welcome.
Lamborghini never comes out with an all new version of the same car. They always completely redesign and come out with an all new model. So nothing to get worked up about.
Can't wait for 10-15 down the road when Gallardos are super cheap. Being the most produced Lamborghini means they will not retain much value. Just like now you can go buy a Ferrari 308/328 and even a 348 for 25-45k, the same will be for Gallardos in due time and that will be our time! lol. The working mans Lamborghini awaits in the future. Really excited to see what the next entry level Lambo will be like. I hope they continue with V-10 and don't go Audi sourced turbo V-8 or something.
Does that mean the Audi R8 is coming to and end too?
