Mom Style: 'The Motherhood' feat. Fiat 500L Music Commercial is Pure Genius

|

Forget about South Korean rapper PSY and his hugely successful Gangnam Style music video; there's a new tune on the block that might just capture your attention.

With so many ads coming our way, most of the times we just watch a few seconds and then fast forward to the end, but that never happened with Fiat UK's new, full length music clip / commercial for the soon to be launched 500L small MPV.

The three-minute+ long music video is named "The Motherhood feat. Fiat 500L" and stars a cool mother and her three toddlers with the 500L peeping from the background.

We're pretty sure most mothers will identify with several references made in the video.

Some of our favorite lyrics include, "Still got my wardrobe…but my thong now itches" – yes, it’s that kind of a song, and " Got my bitches by my side and my hose in the back. Swap my sexy handbag for a snot stained sack."

“We wanted to connect with our target audience, starting with dynamic young mums, in a way that demonstrated our understanding of the challenges they face balancing motherhood with their desire to keep hold of their pre-children identity,” says Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK.

“We hope that by dramatising the reality of becoming a new mum in this way, we will raise a knowing smile from mums everywhere, and we are sure that they will recognise how the Fiat 500L can bring a touch of on-trend glamour into their lives.”

Check the music clip in the video after the break and tells us what you think about it, as well as if you believe that Fiat should promote it in the States (the 500L will go on sale in the U.S. next year), in the comments section that follows.

This is a bad copy of "swaggawagon" with the Toyota Sienna.

Cute song...I don't think it'll sell many fiats though. No mother of 3 in her right mind would buy a tiny car like that. I doubt she could even fit the whole family in it. Moms will laugh at the song and then go and buy a van.

Very good song, but I'm sticking with my Land Rover. And 500 is just English for Cinquecento. My mum had one of those. Big no to Fiats as I remember it well. 899 engine that ticked and died at about 120,000 miles.

No Sienna? Where is the swagger wagon?

Some people think it can't be a safe car because its tiny Probably a safer car to have a collision in than many big metal vans and station wagons.. just takes a little time to get your head round the idea that good design is better than just size.. for example the Chrysler PT Cruiser scores horribly by comparison on the euroncap safety tests

Well, It beats the garbage we get for commercials. Very funny.Well done. However, I really liked the Abarth commercial better...

That Bimmerang thang on the side looks ridiculous.
Otherwise, looks a lot like the S5 Audi it will compete against.
