If you have been keeping an eye on our news today, you will know that Mazda will display three customized concepts of the new Mazda6 at next month’s Tokyo Auto Salon.

In the States, the Mazda6 in sedan form only will go on sale in January as a 2014 model, which means we will probably have to wait until fall next year and the SEMA aftermarket show to see what kind of tuning options will be available for the Japanese carmaker’s promising mid-size model.

In its home market of Japan, however, where the new ‘6’ is already offered for sale as the Atenza in both saloon and Wagon body styles with a choice of gasoline and diesel engines, Mazda has introduced three styling packages from M’z Custom, DAMD and Kenstyle.

The rather mild looking M’z Custom kit includes front and rear aprons with matching side skirts, and optionally, chrome ‘eyebrows’ and auxiliary LED lamps for the front fog lights.

Kenstyle’s offerings are more aggressively styled, encompassing a front apron with a separate lip spoiler in the center, rocker panels and a rear apron with a diffuser, which attaches directly to the stock bumper.

Finally, DAMD has produced a trim set comprising a chrome wing for the front grille, chrome accents for the front fog lights and decorative chrome strip for the doors.
