This is What Happens When You Ignore Speed Signs on a Twisty Road

|

Many motorcycles are built for speed, but you have to keep in mind that you should always carefully select the time and place to put a bike and your own limits to the test.

A biker, who we come to know by his YouTube alias "RiceRocketKev", learned that the hard and painful way – they always do, don’t they?- while rocketing through a twisty mountain road, but was blessed to live another day to tell the tale.

His GoPro helmet camera filmed the incident that started with RiceRocketKev blasting by a group of other motorcycles. About a minute or so later, he passes and…ignores a 20mph (32km/h) speed sign going around 85mph (137km/h).

"At this point, I know I'm carrying WAY too much speed (85mph)," he says on the video commentary. "I try cutting into the open opposite lane to try and take the corner but all my speed puts my into a 1 ft ditch on the right side."

The video then shows RiceRocketKev flying into the air and across the road before he tumbles down the ditch and the…moaning begins….

"Hit the ditch, shot across two lanes, a car turn out and down a 35+ foot cliff. This is how I ride. Fast. Been doing it for a long time and never crashed. This was my first crash ever. Please don't give me shit," he wrote on his YouTube channel.

In addition to RiceRocketKev's own footage, there's a second video shot by his fellow motorcyclists showing them lifting the bike from the ditch.

This is reason we have high motorcycle insurance rates! Obviously, a rider that should not be riding.

Can't ride, and obviously can't read either. :)

There was no need to even retrieve the bike, It's totaled and completely worthless. All you do is tell your insurance agent where it is, that's if you have insurance that is. He comes out looks at it and says, yeah totaled.

He wasn't up in seconds. Voice doesn't even fade off til almost the end. He was laying there reflecting on his choices I'm sure. Another retard giving bikes a bad name. Thanks for standing up to the stereotype genius.

The Bikers name must be Trash McCrash.

Not the correct line, not enough leaning. Everyone can drive hard and fast in a straight line. Clearly no experience.
