One Word: GORGEOUS!

Cayco said... »January 13, 2013

The back is like a chevy camaro and the interior is simply old and awful

ViperX said... »January 13, 2013

I must say it looks awesome! And i like the Stingray addition to the name again.

Bravo GM!

Beautiful!!!

SwingtimeInTheRockies said... »January 13, 2013

Looks much better than the spy shots indicated. The "estimated" horsepower and torque is a little curious. Doesn't Chevrolet KNOW?

Buying!

The styling is just kinda all over the place isn't it?

GREAT!

Cayco said... »January 13, 2013

The Viper looks much better.

Disapointment, styling too busy, ugly rear

Former Vette Owner said... »January 13, 2013

This car is sooooo freaking HOT... I will sell everything I own to get one.

Kopperhead said... »January 13, 2013

I like it!! Just need to see the rear in person to dismiss the similarities to the Camaro, but I'm really impressed with this design.

ModernMopar said... »January 13, 2013

How's the interior awful? I guess you're one of those who just hates the corvette. This is a major step forward for GM and the corvette name.

berto said... »January 13, 2013

I've owned an 01 Z06 an 07 Z06 and loved the traditional vette rear carried down each generation . I can't understand why they designed the back like a Chevy Camaro, the rear of the new car looks terrible. I don't like tail lights or the 50/50 rear with the design split in half color top and half bottom black. What is the story with the chrome on the front air intake are we back in the 70's ? Overall the car is not bad but needs a new rear design and loose the chrome on the front.

MericaF##kYa said... »January 13, 2013

The rear end looks much more like a 69 or 70 Corvette people who are saying it copied the Camaro obviously don't know the history of Corvette styling

idbdg said... »January 13, 2013

Corvette soul is still visible, but with a modern touch, the carving is like Transformer robot :D

GM YOU GUYS DROPPED THE BALL! THE BACK END IS HORRIBLE! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU TAKE AWAY THE CIRCULAR TAILLIGHTS? I MIGHT AS WELL BUY A CAMARO! I OWN A C 6 AND I WOULD NOT TRADE IT IN FOR THIS NEW VETTE! I WILL SEE IT IN PERSON, MAYBE IT WILL LOOK BETTER. I WAS EXPECTING A TOTALLY NEW DESIGN FOR THE VETTE. GM YOU LET ME DOWN! THE CONCEPT CAR WAS AMAZING, YOU GUYS SHOULD HAVE MADE THE NEW VETTE LOOK MORE LIKE THAT CONCEPT CAR! COME FIND ME NEXT TIME SO THAT I CAN GIVE YOU A HONEST OPINION ON BODY STYLES AND FEATURES. YOU GUYS SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE OPINIONS OF EVERYDAY PEOPLE AND VETTE OWNERS! YOUR DESIGN TEAM SUCKS LIKE HELL!

Traumaball said... »January 13, 2013

Back end looks like a really nice muscle car they Chevy already has in their line-up . . . intriguing if i were 18 and able to afford a Corvette. My wife thinks they gave up when they got to the back end, copied and pasted so to speak . . . sounds like GM is trying to make a square peg fit in a round hole!!! The technology hopefully will make up for the "Camaro-cat-calls" the Corvette drivers are inevitably going to have to endure. Time to primp, polish and get new rims for the C6.

SwingtimeInTheRockies said... »January 13, 2013

I actually think it all ties together pretty well. Which elements do you find jarring?

Josh said... »January 13, 2013

Why don't they sell these in Australia? I want.

Yong Thian Ding said... »January 13, 2013

I'm confused , isn't the post is all about C7 Corvette ? Why there's SRT Viper & Nissan GT-R in the picture gallaries ?

bft said... »January 13, 2013

I just think the interior looks a bit messy, but the exterior looks amazing!

ben nibohs said... »January 13, 2013

the back looks complicated but not overkill, i like that,
and arent there rumours in 2012 going about this being a mid engined?

Sushi Ninja said... »January 13, 2013

Best. Corvette. Ever. No argument.

tkindred said... »January 13, 2013

How did that design come out of GM? Wow! Looks really good.

Not "Stingray" Worthy said... »January 13, 2013

I'm a Corvette fan. This model just looks busy with extraneous styling both inside and out. The center console has the Old Gm's "run to the parts bin and grab a piece" from the Camaro. I guess to tie-in with the Camaro-ish rear taillights? And I do believe the name "Stingray" is very, very special, but to use it on this generation is not special and should have still been reserved for a special style and generation. I like it...I don't love it like I really wanted to.

Seriously? said... »January 13, 2013

sorta looks like a cross between an SRT Viper and a GTR....which proves dreams can come true!!! I love the way this car looks, and at $54,000 its actually attainable exotic looks and performance I want one!

AustinHarvey said... »January 13, 2013

This car is incredible!

Kopperhead said... »January 13, 2013

Any word on price ranges and when it will hit the dealerships? Speaking of dealerships, I just know those greedy goons will have a ridiculously high mark-up on the C7. Wish Chevy could remove them from the buying experience. Imagine the salesman who just sold a Chevy Sonic trying to show you the C7..lol

American made! Foreign cars suck

vespa said... »January 13, 2013

They just don't know how to get the interior right.

Terry Roy said... »January 13, 2013

Incredibly ugly!

Fred said... »January 13, 2013

This makes the Viper look ugly!!

Labratus1 said... »January 14, 2013

This car is confused. Its ugly and hasno originality. This car is a mish mash between other cars. American car designers are not only bland but they are horrible. Does not look classy, exotic, or super car like. Looks like a camaro rammed its self up a wannabe ferrarie's butt.
BIG FAIL!

Labratus1 said... »January 14, 2013

Its not a stingray. The 1963 stingray retroversion Karl Kustom Corvette produces is way nicer than this. I hope he can mate the 63 body on a C7 then you can call it a stingray.

Alastair said... »January 14, 2013

Love it! Its staying true to its heritage with its aggressive lines and stance! Love the addition of the 'stingray' badge as well. Its DEFINITELY going to be a seller!

Spen007 said... »January 14, 2013

I think what´s most important and may be a bit overlooked here is that its American.... made in America and built by Americans and we need to be doing this more and more. Right?

psiqtas said... »January 14, 2013

Where's the sting-ray?! It's still the same shape since C4 and (for me) worse that C6. I'll take the (probably) cheaper Camaro over this Camaro-Viper-LFA mix everyday! From the front far difficult to recognize if it's the Viper or a Vette - it's even the same thing like with Viper. Somehow all-new, but still the same, old recipe... Guys from MoPar must laugh when they see its front-end for the firs time!

The Vette and Grand Cherokee are my 2 disappoints of the NAIAS :/

psiqtas said... »January 14, 2013

Are You kidding Fred?!

Both cars have quite the same front-end!

donald seymour said... »January 14, 2013

Yeah, the viper isn't trying too hard but rather have a cohesive design.

psiqtas said... »January 14, 2013

Sorry, it looks boooring...

Tj Johnson said... »January 14, 2013

Wished I Had One My ORION HCCA's Would Look Really Good In It.

Anonymous said... »January 15, 2013

Labratust1. This is for you. You are a complete idiot. I have news for you. It is a stingray, you know why? Because GM the people who thought of, created, design and who eventually is going to manufacture the damn thing calls it a stingray, that's why. You freaking idiot. If you have nothing constructive to say just say nothing and we all will just continue to think that you are a fool instead of opening your mouth( in this case your mind) and removing all doubt. Thank you.

Sam said... »January 29, 2013

The front looks OK cuz it looks like it copied pieces from the Viper, like the headlights. It looks like they just mashed the ENTIRE Camaro rear-end as the new Corvette.

I'm surprised there isn't as many people, like me, who thinks this new C7 design is SO HORRENDOUS, it literally just destroyed the entire Corvette heritage.

The Corvette has become the Camaro+ or Camaro R editions, like the BMW M series or the Civic SI series.

Dearl Mcpeak said... »February 07, 2013

Way too much stuff tossed in. Looks plastic, cheap and what's that on the rear end? It looks like "mud flaps". They took a beautiful, curvy, classic american car and bred it with a kia forte...UGLY

antonio palacios said... »February 15, 2013

ill stick to the grand sport body style. I'm not liking the camaro tail lights too much

Harvey said... »February 25, 2013

Where did you get the price of $54,000?
