Another Russian Pedestrian Stands His Ground, But is the Driver at Fault?

In the day and age of dashboard cameras, Russian drivers disregarding pedestrian crossings and signs are nothing new, but we're not exactly sure if the person steering the car in this incident is at blame.

We say this due to the frozen road conditions and the lack of additional details, as for all we know, the driver may have tried to stop progressively.

Regardless of what he/she did or not, the pedestrian seen in the video threw a Hulk-style hissy fit smashing the front end  grille piece on the Toyota Lorem Ipsum van before returning for a karate kick ending to the driver's side fender…

Daring, but correct pedestrian. The driver can't see there are pedestrians gathered at the crosswalk? That take, you stupid hood deflector!!! And oh my aching hip...

  2. Ultimately pedestrian is a fool. Purposefully walks out in front of car then vandalizes it. Driver did try to stop but slid into crosswalk... Could have been more aware :)

  3. Driver is not at fault. According to the weather condition how do you expect the driver to stop on a dime

According to weather conditions, said driver should have been driving slower and more attentive to their immediate surroundings. Instead, the driver is speeding-up and executing a vehicle pass on the right.

  6. Damn pedestrian should first look where he's going even though it's a cross walk. Never assume that cars will stop for you. Never. Driver is not at fault. He clearly stopped in time but slid.

  7. according to Russian/Soviet traffic code driver should drive slow and during twilight/night period to have such speed that to stop carefully if anything. Also, on such pedestrian crossing (which is called 'zebra') pedestrian is primary user and road owner - if You see pedestrian who is going to enter crossing - you should pass him. This driver forgot this rule as it usually happens in USSR.

  8. No, he didn't overreact. No one should attach that crappy plastic junk to their hood. He was doing the driver a favor.
